The automatic production line is a production system in which a set of automatic machine tools and ancillary equipment are linked in accordance with the process sequence by a workpiece transfer system and a control system to automatically complete all or part of the manufacturing process of the product, or simply an automatic line. In the 1920s, with the development of industries such as automobiles, rolling bearings, small motors, and sewing machines, automatic lines began to appear in machinery manufacturing. The earliest emerged was the automatic line of combined machine tools. Before the 1920s, first of all, there were flow production lines and semi-automated production lines in the automotive industry, followed by development into automatic lines. After the Second World War, the number of automatic lines in the industrial manufacturing industry developed rapidly.
